Following the removal of the staircase, steel support columns were removed from the basement and new steelwork was added across the ground floor in accordance with the structural engineers calculations, to create maximum space for the installation of a commercial kitchen. This included a dry store room and walk-in cold room.
The interior sales area walls were lined out with white solid surface claddings incorporating LED lighting which is the Wasabi signature look.
A former Costa Coffee shop which required structural works to remove the central staircase between the ground floor and basement, including demolition works to internal brick partitions.
The existing timber frame shop front was removed and replaced with a modern full height glazed shop front for maximum impact. Existing pilasters and fascia panels were cladded with white solid surface claddings to give the shop a clean white finish.
